Traffic Parrot trial requests made through the MCP server: privacy notice
WHAT WE HOLD
The business email address the request was made for, and any name, company,
phone number, description of the problem and choice of protocols that was
submitted with it. We also record which AI agent made the call and the network
address it came from.
WHY
Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): responding to a request to evaluate our product, made on your behalf by a tool you were using. You can object at any time and we will erase the request.
HOW LONG
A request nobody acts on is erased 168 hours after it is made. A request a person at Traffic Parrot has approved or rejected is kept for 365 days, then erased. We keep approved ones so we can answer questions about a trial that was issued, and rejected ones so we have a record of the decision, for example if the person writes in to ask why.
MAILCHIMP
As soon as the request is made, we add your email address to Traffic Parrot's
trial mailing list in Mailchimp, the email service we use, as an unconfirmed
contact. Mailchimp is based in the United States. It receives your email address,
whichever of your name, company, phone number, problem description and chosen
protocols were submitted, and a note that the request came from an AI agent.
Mailchimp sends you one email asking you to confirm that you want the trial. If
you confirm, you join the same list as people who sign up for a trial on
trafficparrot.com, a second email brings you the link to your trial page, and you
can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any email. If you do not confirm, you
get no trial link and no marketing email. A person at Traffic Parrot still
approves each request before a trial is built.
If you were already on that list, your existing details and preferences are left
unchanged and no new email is sent; the link in your earlier trial email shows the
new request.
Your Mailchimp contact is not covered by the retention periods above. A confirmed
contact stays until you unsubscribe or ask us to erase it.
IPREGISTRY
Unless our own lists settle the request, we look up the network address it came
from with ipregistry.co, an IP address data service run by a company in France. For
a request made by an AI agent that is the agent's address; for a request made on
trafficparrot.com it is your browser's. ipregistry.co receives the address and
nothing else about you or the request. It tells us which organisation the address
belongs to (its name, website domain and kind: business, government, internet or
hosting provider), whether it is an anonymising service such as a VPN, proxy or Tor,
and whether it has been reported for abuse. We keep that with the request for the
periods above. It is shown to the person at Traffic Parrot who decides on your
request, and it is among the things we use to tell a request that can be released
without a person from one that needs a look first: an address that belongs to the
organisation your email address belongs to counts in favour, a reported address
means a person looks first.
AN AGENT SUBMITTED THIS ON YOUR BEHALF
If you did not ask for a Traffic Parrot trial, you do not need to do anything.
Ignore the confirmation email: you get no trial link and no marketing email, and
the request is erased automatically if it is not approved. If it is approved, the
trial's link still goes only to this email address, so nobody else can use it. To
have the request erased now, email support@trafficparrot.com quoting the request id,
or have the agent call the delete_trial_request tool.
Erasing the request erases our record of it. It does not remove you from
Mailchimp. To be removed from Mailchimp as well, unsubscribe from the link in any
email we send you, or ask for that too when you email support@trafficparrot.com.
YOUR RIGHTS
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To
exercise any of them, email support@trafficparrot.com.
